Disclaimer & disclosures

RFPHawk is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency. The information on this page sets out our relationship to the public-sector data we aggregate.

Last updated May 19, 2026

Independent third-party service

RFPHawk is an independent third-party software service operated by RFPHawk. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. federal government, any state or local government, any government agency, or any government employee, contractor, or representative.

RFPHawk is not a government agency, does not represent any government agency, and does not provide any official government service. We are not a registered government contractor, lobbyist, or procurement intermediary, and we do not participate in, influence, or process any government procurement decision.

What we do

RFPHawk aggregates publicly available information about U.S. government procurement opportunities (often called "RFPs", "RFQs", "IFBs", "solicitations", or "bid notices") from official government sources and presents that information in a single searchable interface. We layer on discovery tools — including search, filters, classification, saved alerts, and notification digests — to help small businesses find opportunities relevant to their work.

The underlying data we aggregate is published by government agencies and is freely available directly from those sources. RFPHawk's paid subscription does not provide access to private, restricted, or paywalled government information. Customers are paying for the discovery tools, the aggregation, the search experience, and related productivity features — not for the government data itself.

Free alternatives

The government data we aggregate is freely accessible to anyone, at no charge, directly from the relevant government source. You can obtain the same underlying information without subscribing to RFPHawk by visiting the official sources, including:

  • Federal: SAM.gov — the official U.S. federal government system for contract opportunities, operated by the General Services Administration (GSA).
  • Federal grants: Grants.gov — the official source for federal grant opportunities.
  • State and local: each U.S. state operates its own procurement portal where solicitations are posted free of charge. A list of the state sources we aggregate is available on our Data sources page.

We provide direct links from every record in RFPHawk back to the original posting on the official government source, so you can always verify the source and engage with the issuing agency directly.

Trademarks and government names

References on this site to government programs, agencies, systems, or services — including but not limited to SAM.gov, Grants.gov, GSA, the SBA, the U.S. Department of Defense, and individual state procurement portals — are made for descriptive purposes only ("nominative fair use"). All government program names, agency names, seals, and logos are the property of their respective government owners. RFPHawk does not claim any right to those marks, and the use of those names does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

Where a reference is required to identify the source of an opportunity (e.g. "Solicitation posted on SAM.gov"), we use the name in its plain descriptive sense and link to the official source.

No legal, contracting, or procurement advice

RFPHawk is a software discovery tool. The information presented through the Service is not legal advice, procurement advice, contracting advice, or financial advice. Nothing on this site should be relied upon as a guarantee of a contract award, a bid outcome, eligibility for any set-aside program (including but not limited to 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, SDVOSB, or VOSB programs), or any specific business result.

Government procurement involves binding legal requirements. Before responding to a solicitation, you should review the original solicitation document on the issuing agency's website and consult qualified legal, accounting, and contracting professionals as appropriate.

Data accuracy

We work to keep the information on RFPHawk accurate and current, but the authoritative source for any government solicitation is the original posting on the issuing agency's portal. Source data may be updated, corrected, cancelled, or removed by the issuing agency at any time, and there may be a lag between such changes and their reflection in RFPHawk. Always verify the full, current solicitation details on the official source before submitting a bid or proposal.
